Ashley and I wanted to have a little girls getaway for a weekend and wanted to stay close to home so we chose Wallace, Id. She has some teacher friends that live there and we have been before but hadn't spent much time there. We spent the evening seeing the few sights downtown and having fun for Cinco de Mayo.
The next morning we got up and headed up in the hills along the Pulaski Trail. Along the way they give you the whole story of the fire of 1910 where everyone had to hide in the mine to escape it. It's really interesting and such a beautiful spot to visit. Between that and the brothel museum it's a really cool little town to visit and is still thriving today though very small.

The boys drove up Saturday to join us for one night. We took them around town then we hit the bar for some dancing and local life.
We stopped at Radio Brewing in Kellogg on our way home Sunday for some lunch and beer stickers for Justin's fridge.
Gavin turned 10!!! He wanted LeBron basketball shoes for hoopfest and another overnight at the Mirabeau hotel.
Lunch with the birthday boy.
The new shoes!
Justin and I headed to Seattle for the weekend for a friend's wedding. We stayed one night with this gorgeous view then headed to Bellingham for a night.
We miss the ocean, fresh seafood and the small town feel.
Grandma was holding down the fort at home.
Paige's friend Maggie
Grandma Ellersick passed away and everyone came in town for the funeral.
We celebrated Jen's birthday.
All the grandkids but Quinn, she was still in utero. This was a hard day for these kids. The first time they had been to the lake since losing their grandpa and it wasn't a warm fuzzy visit unfortunately. 😢 We are all trying to make a new normal and with everyone is different places that has been tough. One of the main reasons we even moved to this area is no longer what it was and it's been one of the hardest things to watch this family go through.
Bonnie helped me scrape my popcorn off the ceiling before she went home, that was awful and such a mess!! But now we can fix it and put the floors in. 😁
