September 2018

We took one last camping trip for the summer over Labor Day weekend up to Kettle Falls.  Because there was a burn ban the campground was very quiet which made it nice for us.  The kids could ride bikes all over the place and we had the group site all to ourselves.

It wasn't quite warm enough for swimming but the kids still had fun playing and exploring.

The puppies had to come because they were so little so we got lots of snuggles in.

We had a day on the water.

We pulled up to an island and docked the boats for some hiking and fishing.

Brave kids aren't scared of cold water. ;)

On our way home Monday we explored the area a little bit and found an old church that was really neat.  The view was beautiful.

The kids started school.  Grace is doing running start this year and is so excited to be leaving the house to get back in the classroom. She will be taking the bus to Eastern 4 times a week.
Junior year and college student all in one.

Haylee heading to high school 9th grade!

Gavin heading to 5th grade, his last year of elementary school. :(

Paige had one week of waiting to start school so we had some fun while the sun was still out.

Then it was her turn to start school and I was a MESS!!  This was so hard for me and I was so excited for her but it felt so weird to have all of my kids gone all day and none left at home to take care of.

The sweetest big brother this girl could ask for.

Justin and I had a concert in Seattle and decided to take an overnight stop in Leavenworth.  I can't believe we live this close and have never been.  It is so beautiful, especially this time of year with summer just beginning to turn to fall.

We ate yummy food, drank good beer and loved every minute of it.

Then it was over to Seattle.  We got there in enough time to eat more and drink more and had a great time at the concert.

Our pastor and his wife are both graduates of Eastern Washington and faithfully have bought season tickets to the football games.  They invite us to tailgate and sometimes go to the games and now with Grace attending it's even more fun to support them.

Then it was time for our Seattle girls trip for the Mariner's game.  We had a great time and will be making this our annual tradition for sure!
