Not Dada anymore. :(

It's "Daddy" now. ;)

Also thanks to Aunt Jen and Wendy for the fun birthday gifts, he's played with them all night. xoxoxo

Some random things....

I don't know what evenings would be like without Daddy. Haylee and he have the best snuggle, sleep relationship. When it's "that" time she needs her Daddy. :)

Geneva's 2nd graders make poetry books this year and they held a Books and Breakfast for the parents to come and have breakfast at school and read through the books they made. Grace did a very good job and when I find the time I will post her "If I could change the world" poem.....pretty darn funny the things she would do. ;)

Nicole and Brayden

Tracy and Maddie

Gavin sat like such a big boy and ate his cinnamon roll, he was LOVIN' all the attention.

The girls finished Awana for the year and had the end of the year race car derby and ribbon event. We still did not make cars but next year will defiantly think about that. We got to see our friends Ben and Brayden race theirs though and once again took home the trophy! Woo hoo (I had left already to get Gavin home so no pictures of that.)

The whole crew, Brayden, Ben, Grace, Haylee and Makenna:

And of course our little Muchacho

Haylee getting her ribbon:

This was her 1st book award as a Spark!

We're SO proud of these girls and are excited for a little break. Next year Grace will move up with the big kids to the TNT program.....wow!

Speaking of Grace........not sure what this one's about!

My Mother's Day card. :)

These were my "May Day" flowers that were left on my doorstep. Little Haylee is always creating surprises for us and the ringing door bell was such a hit that we have had things placed there every day since just about, lots of treasures. ;) LOL

Justin took the kids fishing on opening day, Gavin is at a really bad age for sitting on the dock. (sitting in general) So we took our time and did a little nature walk,

have to have sticks Mama

She is quite the fisherman:
Haylee is not so patient.
being very patient.....
"a fish, a fish".....it did pay off!
fascination......
then we throw it back........it floats by 2 min later and the worry begins......we killed the fish! Not sure that concept ever occurred to them when they actually doing the fishing.......this may have been their last time. lol (btw it swallowed the hook so there was nothing we could have done)

Can he really be 2????

Last weekend (Gavin's 2nd birthday) was a really hard day for me and I just wanted to cry whenever I would think about him being 2. He hurt himself by falling and biting his tongue so we went down to clean him up and he snuggled into me and patted me saying "ma ma....ma ma" so soft and sweet and I just lost it!! He can't really be a big boy yet can he??? I want his sweet dimples, round cheeks, chubby thighs, and sweet spirit to just stay around forever. It's fun to see him enjoy big boy things and my favorite thing is to watch him and his Daddy play and share that special "boy bond"....gets me every time. :) Justin loves his kids, all of them and his girls adore him but there's just something about a boy and his daddy that really is in a league of it's own. We took Gavin to the zoo for his birthday, he loves animals and being free to just run....so the zoo works nicely. :) The weather was high 60's and sunny, perfect all around. It was so funny, Gavin looked up close at this glass forever before he actually SAW what was right there! He backed away very quick! I wish my picture would have turned out a little better....poor guy was being tortured with Haylee's dangling sandwich. lol

Do all boys love animals this much????
Although there a few that I could sit and watch all day too, so neat!
Haylee loves the goats and forever mentions the time one was trying to eat her hair. ;)

After the zoo we went on a hunt. Justin is a big fan of the Food Network shows and this restaurant happened to be one of the ones shown on "Diners-Drive Ins-and Dives"....oh boy, we were stopping!!!! Greasy breakfast food at it's finest but that is the meal we like best so we were happy!

The girls got to color a picture for the wall and we were done with another great Seattle adventure! (next time we dine at Red Mill Burgers)
Gavin got his first buzz cut from Daddy on his big day so we could get some cute pictures without saying "what is up with his hair?".

The girls did the photo op so we could both be holding, blowing, and buzzing.

And he survived!!!!!

Off to nap he went and the rest of us got busy with the party plans.

He was one happy birthday boy!

Not too much detail to the cake because I really have succumbed to the fact that I will never measure up so I just went for it.....he's 2, and he liked it! :) Race track complete with cars, home made signs from his sisters, half eaten oreos (which was the 1st thing he grabbed) and lots of sugary frosting....yum!

He just wanted to blow and sing.....blow and sing.....over and over again.......

I think this is my favorite age for things like this because they just love everything from the smallest detail to the biggest gifts, everything about him was happy and smiling! What a joy this little boy is to us!

He wanted to know what all the little buttons did and how it worked.
He's patient and lets Daddy help him learn.
He would wait until the last thing came out of the box before he would play with it. The excitement would build and build till he could hardly stand it!

A fire truck went by with sirens and this was his face!

A new power drill like Daddy's!
It would not be complete without one picture partially clothed.....

What a weekend it was, fun and busy and now we move to 2's...not sure I'm ready for this stage yet! Yikes!
