We have been doing some fun music in the park when the weather is nice on a Saturday night. The kids dance their pa-tooties off and we have dinner on a picnic blanket and enjoy the free show. (Crazy drunk people dancing that is.....what, you thought I meant music???)
Hannah, Tracy and some of their friends are usually there with us too. This is the little girl Ella that Hannah nannies for. :)
Gavin was quite the little charmer.
Showing his moves.......
Made him quite thirsty.
Popular place to be.
We rode the train to Pikes market, the kids were all about front row seating. :)
Do they look like they need sombreros???????
Beverly Beach:
So it's been forever since my last post, mainly because I can't figure out how to blog without all the space getting in between my pictures so it takes me forever to go back and fill all the gaps, I get frustrated, give up for 2 weeks, and that's why you get our 1st week in Aug vacation in September. Fun times...if anyone has any clues or ways to get rid of that I would be forever grateful. Many members inside my home have heard the "bleepety, bleep" profanities coming from my bedroom during the dark blogging hour and are probably wondering what happened to their Mom???????
So now that that's out of the way allow me to share with you (hopefully gap free) our wonderful coast vacation to Beverly Beach that we took this year with Justins side of the family! Great place to stay, great weather (for the most part), and super fun times with the fam! We were leaving and a little sad that we were not ready for it to be over. :(
The park and rec crew were so great and every day they do classes, films, walks, it's all educational for the kids and there were some fun things like this scavenger hunt:
cool big trees
I was even so busy snapping pictures at one point, that Gavin was on the list of things to hunt......luckily he was just trying to be an over achiever and was running ahead of the group. ;)
"Jackson and his leaf"....that probably could have been the theme of the walk. He held that baby up for every question......it kind of worked for all of them so well done Jack.
Lot's of camp fire talks and laughs.
The beach fun!
Morning bike rides and tide pool hunts.
Hubby found me a little "beach bling"....don't be jealous!
12 legs?????
Gavin liked that one. :)
Afternoon siestas.......
We took a day trip into the Newport Aquarium and though smaller than we were hoping still very entertaining.
Haylee's perfect fish lips!
Say "ahh" Peyton
Watching the seals and sea lions may have been one of my top favs of the trip, they were SO NEAT!
And we had a georgeous day to go with it!
We got another good day of sun so we made it another beach day and were there all afternoon, we had so much fun!
Poor Jackson had a little accident the last day of the trip, we were packing to go home and had come through the whole week with no injuries and he fell down and knocked out his whole front tooth......root and all! Ouch! He was a trooper though given the circumstance and was even trying to put it back in. ;) Still a cute little "toothless wonder".
We made a stop at the Tillamook cheese factory on our way home for some lunch and some yummy ice cream cones. So worth the wait........
Great trip, now on to the next vacation I have yet to blog about that happened a month ago. :) Hope September finds you all well!!!
