Our fun filled busy weekend

We had such a great time with Mike and Bonnie (Grandpa and Grandma) this past weekend and the weather turned out to be gorgeous!!!! We could not have planned it any better if we tried, today is the first of any rain (and it was just a sprinkle) that we have seen in about a week. Yes for all those wondering it's just short of a miracle. :) So anyway, the weekend was busy and went by way too fast like they always do but I got some good pictures and just figured I would post a bunch and let them do the talking.

Friday night we went into town and walked the boardwalk along the water and went to have dinner at the Big Fat Fish Co.....they have such great food and they even brought Haylee a yummy slice of chocolate cake with a candle for her birthday. :)

My beautiful birthday girl......

These girls just love their Grandpa.

Supposed to be 4.....not sure what she's thinking.

Yum!

Jen, she loves this card and plays with it all the time.

Their (or Justins) new favorite toy......the flying, squealing monkey.

The infamous spanking machine.....

So then Saturday was off to Vancouver Canada to go to the aquarium that was so much better than I was expecting. I have never seen dolphins, whales, or sharks so it was fun to go to one big enough to see all these neat animals. We watched the dolphin show and the Beluga whale show and learned some fun new things. Haylee was tired about halfway through but Grace was just fascinated with everything and you could just tell she was trying to take it all in.

She was having such a good time. Her and Haylee even had their maps to cross off what we had and hadn't seen yet.

This guy was huge and got up so close and was just staring at us.

The Beluga Whale.

Getting ready for the whale show.

This little otter was playing with the girls and chasing their finger all around the glass.

Outside the aquarium.

Trying to get a family picture with a cranky 4 year old.....not going to happen, so we torture her instead. ;)

Sunday Grandma and Grandpa took the girls so Justin and I could have a date that was much needed, this one was actually long enough to see a movie AND go out to eat. :) They took Haylee to Build A Bear for her birthday and out to lunch so that was fun for them to have some one on one time without parents ruining all the fun. We got home and had a little camp fire out on the deck and roasted marshmallows. We had a yummy steak and shrimp dinner and had german chocolate cake to celebrate Justins birthday. It was a weekend filled with lots of good eating that's for sure. ;)

Monday was Justins birthday and we thought we would head to this greasy place that we love to have breakfast but we got all the way there and they were closed so we took option number two which ended up also being really good. After we went to Anacortis, this little town right on the water where you catch all the main ferries to the islands and Alaska, they have some fun shops to look at and we of course had to stop and have ice cream. :) Then Grandpa and Grandma were off to Seattle to catch a plane and we headed home with sad, tired kids.......fun! ;) That was our weekend in a nutshell, thank you guys for coming and spending the weekend with us. We love you and miss you tons!!! See you in April. :)
