Christmas 2014

Bonnie came in town to visit before Christmas so she could see the kids play at church.  They did The Grinch and Haylee and Gavin both had parts.  Haylee was Cindy Lou and Gavin was Max the dog. ;)  No speaking??  He was all over that!!

It was super cute and they all did such a great job.  They really had fun with it and Haylee came out of her shell which was nice to see.

Paige clearly loved it too. ;)
Haylee's sweet friend Grace from school came to support her and brought her flowers.

We tried to find things to do to keep us and Bonnie busy so we could try and enjoy the first Christmas without Mike.  It was the elephant in the room for sure but kids keep you busy and wanting to keep traditions up for them was key.  We did the lights at River Front Park this year for the first time and they have TONS of them!!

It was a little chilly but we made our way around and had a great time.

Bonnie headed to Wendy's for Christmas and we kept up on a few more traditions around here.  The lights at the Coeur d' Alene resort are a must see for sure.  It always seems to be super cold and windy every time we go but still fun.

Then of course a stop at the toy store to play and finish making lists for Santa.

This is just thrown in for some humor. ;)

Christmas Eve was candle light service at church then home for jammies.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house......Mom is still wrapping and getting stockings set out for the crack of dawn that is coming WAY too soon. :)

Christmas morning............

I can't get the video to work but this is the big Ipod reveal and Haylee about cried......it was such a great reaction and a total surprise.  So fun!!

Some ipod fun.

Trying out the new scooter.

Then New years eve was very low key this year.  We put littles to bed and had a relaxing evening with the neighbors and played a few games.  We really just wanted to keep things simple this year with all that has been going on and it was just what we needed.  To be home with the kids doing normal family things and spending time together.

The rest of break was pretty quiet as well.  Time will heal all of our hearts but this was a hard holiday season to get through for sure.  I love my sweet family!!

Happy 2015!!!!!
