Haylee turns 10!!

Haylee is double digits!!!  I can't believe how fast the time has flown with these kids.  It seems so normal with Grace but Haylee I have a harder time letting the "little girl" go. :(  She has such a fun personality and keeps us laughing all the time. She's quick witted, kind hearted, soft hearted, and loves, loves everything girlie.  She still has a love for arts and crafts of all kinds and this year has learned how to finger knit??  (Not from me.)  She is like a 2nd Mom to Paige and has such a maternal instinct.  She and Grace are starting to differ more and Haylee is starting to really branch out and gain some independence which is good but it's been hard to see them growing a little apart from each other.  I think being in different schools this year played a big part.  It's good for them to have a couple years apart then Grace can show her the ropes for a year before they separate again. 

For her big day she was so excited it actually fell on a Saturday and we could celebrate ON her day. :)  She wanted to go to Triple Play again with a couple friends and I love it so much more than the typical party at the house thing.  No clean up, no cooking, wears them all out and it's so reasonable. 

We did her family dinner the night before with her cake so we didn't have to haul it all with us. We had pizza hut pizza, cantaloupe and for her cake she wanted pink with sprinkles so I tried to do the giant cupcake thing.  It turned out okay, she was happy with it and it tasted good so really who cares right? ;)

Birthday morning came and we hurried through the gifts, had some breakfast and headed out.

 These sweet girls are our neighbors and they are wonderful.  They didn't start coming around until this year mostly because they home school so we didn't know of them.  They live around the corner and we have been thrilled Haylee has found such nice girls to befriend.  Even Gavin has a great time with them all and they include him which for girls is kind of rare as they get older.

 They made these sweet notes and cards and put together this fun little gift it was very cute.

Justin also has a February birthday and though his age probably isn't as exciting it's still fun to celebrate him!  We did a date night after the fact and just let the kids do cake and presents on his actual day. 

It's crazy to think of all the birthdays we have already celebrated together and how far we've come as a family.  He's a pretty blessed Daddy that's for sure. :)
