Summer is teasing us!

We've had some fun things happening the last few weeks. I got home from our girls trip just in time to have the wonderful Syke's family at our door! :)

Ahh there we go, 5th times a charm. :)

We only had one quick night so we kept it super simple and bbq'd, took them for a little walk around the lake and enjoyed some good conversation while the kids played very well together. :) According to Dane we live in "dinosaur land" because of all the thick brush and ferns. Maybe I would enjoy it better if I looked at it his way??? Instead I think "you can't even venture off the beaten path because of all the D#!@ ferns!!!" His attitude seems much better than mine. ;)
So "thank you" John and Stacy for stopping in on your adventure to spend a night with us, though it was short it was very fun to see you and your sweet kids. :) See you this summer!!

On the next bit of news the girls had "summer send off 80's style" this last Friday night. Weather turned out perfect and the girls looked the part. ;) So happy this style is out but so sad that this was really that long ago. The girls were not too fond of this era, Haylee was afraid someone was going to see her and laugh.....why would they do that? Is this really that bad!?

Okay, okay yes it's that bad.....but it sure was fun doing it. ;) Haylee's hair won't even feather like it was supposed to and hair spray has nothing on those luscious locks. Grace had to do her own (of course) and Gavin just can't be left out.

Napoleon Dynamite anyone???....(they were just missing their caboodles.)

The few days that have turned out above 65-70 we have headed down to the freezing lake in which the kids actually enjoy swimming! The bigger shocker was Gavin, he does not want to get out!!! Wind, rain, 60 degrees, hungry, not much would pull this kid away......occasionally he would venture out for a "bite" but that was it.

He takes after this water baby.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that this is literally our neighborhood!
Sometimes it's hard to believe that I have 3 beautiful, fun, quirky, lovable, kiddos!

The fun didn't stop!

Not sure how long some of these toys will be good enough, guess coming after two girls he can't be expecting much!

Haylee taking a warm up break. She is more like me when it comes to the "elements"....we hate being cold! This whole day I was in long sleeves....and yes they are swimming. ;)

And last but not least just for fun......his sisters got a hold of him for the 1st time....surely it will not be the last!

Hope you all are as geared as we are for summer!!!!

Man, Mariah LOVES the '80's' look. That is all her favorite store, Justice, has. I have to draw the line at the neon pint splattered jeans, lol

Oh you did well with the 80's look, impressive!! I got a good laugh with the "napolean" look! And I love the pic you took of Grace by herself in her suit. Very cute!
