Hawaii 2016

Bright and early we all met up at the Portland airport.  Jen and Aaron flew in from Boise with Bonnie.  Justin flew in from Spokane and at 6:30 am we all boarded a plane to O'ahu.  5 hour flight with all the kids was quite comical but they all were so excited and did so well!  Their faces when we started to land made me cry that their Grandpa didn't get to see it. They saw the ocean and could hardly believe what they were seeing it made the whole trip. ❤

Grandma had shirts made with all their names and the number grandchild they are.

We made a trip to Costco right away to stock up on food then headed to the house.  It was such a great house with tons of room for everyone and kids couldn't wait to get changed and in the pool.  Because of the time change we were swimming by about 6 am Hawaii time every morning but 11:00 at home for us.

The lanai was a hit too.  We ate all of our meals out there and just sat and enjoyed the sun rises, sets, rain storms and each other.  This was what Grandpa couldn't wait to do....sit out there with all his grand baby's and watch them enjoy paradise. 😢

We ate some awesome food!!

Visited the Polynesian Cultural Center

Pearl Harbor

Dole pineapple plantation for the infamous dole whip!!!😱😋

More time just enjoying the house, the lizards, the bull frogs and the chickens that woke us up every morning.

 More beaches.

Snow cones and the best Acai bowls you will EVER eat!!! (too busy eating to get pictures)

Our last day we took just our kids and went to the shrimp shack.  We had heard about it on food network and wanted to give it a try.  AMAZING!!!!  Our girls still talk about the calamari that we ate.

It was a trip of a lifetime and my kids cannot wait to go back.  Besides being expensive it really is paradise and a place everyone needs to visit to appreciate the beauty.  The cousins made lifetime memories and it would have only been better with Grandpa.
