I am so happy we made the trip to Boise for Jen's graduation. We really wanted our kids to see what it's like to graduate college and for everyone to come and be a part of it. I went to Boise for my sister Gretchen's graduation from Boise State as well. What I love about both of these stories is that they are both single Moms who have busted their hides to finish school and make a better life for them and their boys. :) I wanted to see her walk that line and be so proud of what she's done.
Grace wanted to come to all the events and loved getting to be on campus.
Proud parents.
This little girl was SO GOOD on the road trip over and during all the long events we sat through she was such a trooper.
The pinning ceremony was the night before the big graduation and it was just for the nursing department so it was a little more personal and intimate. They played a slide show of the graduates families and friends in the beginning then those families got to pin the student. Just a few of us went and thankfully Ben was able to stay home with most of the little kids so we didn't have to wrestle with them to sit still and be quiet.
Aunt Beth and Grandma Hebdon
The big girls who got to go and were very well behaved. :)
Aunt Wendy getting her loves in before they got to sneak off to Hawaii early the next morning. Sad for them. ;)
Jack was pinning his Mama and he was very nervous leading up to it but did a wonderful job.
Such a sweet moment to be a part of.
She was stunning!
It was fun to get to see Grandpa and Grandma too.
Everyone from the pinning night.
We had a girls morning and got mani's and Pedi's.
Then came the big graduation and my camera does not work from long distances when it's dark so the pics were a bit blurry but you can at least tell it's her accepting her diploma which is really all that matters right? ;)
After that we rushed home to get all ready for the party. It was a pretty good turn out with all of Jen's amazing friends and family who just love her to pieces. It was fun to get to do this FOR her for once since she's always the entertainer, baker, cook, hair stylist, the list goes on......she had to take a back seat this weekend and just ENJOY!!
We managed some pretty yummy food too I must say. ;)
Look at all those friends.....Jen is a lucky lady.
It was a short but sweet weekend all crammed with fun, friends, family, and of course food. ;) The only down side is everyone came home with the flu. :( One by one it hit all of us like a ton of bricks and we were dropping like flies. I felt so bad for my family who came to visit us at my Moms and all managed to get sick. I guess it's making memories but good grief give me anything else but my children vomiting in my CAR the whole ride home!!!!! UGH!
My niece Kelli and her sweet baby Mazy Faith.
Grandpa and Paige
My niece Adeline and Paige.
All the babies in the family were so cute and fun to line up next to each other.
