Grace turns 10!

I have a child in the double digits already!!  A lot has happened in our lives the past 10 years and she's been with us through it all.  The timing was really hard this year with school just getting done and us on a moving deadline.  She wanted a big shin-dig with all her friends but this year it just wasn't working out as planned. :(  

This is the theme of her new room so we went with it for birthday too.

Then it was off to have fun in the.....rain???  Yes that's how we do the summer parties in the NW.  Heated outdoor pool for the kids while the parents sit in full winter gear freezing our tushes off!  Kids had fun though.

Brayden and Grace have been the sweetest of friends since we first moved to Bellingham, it's been fun to watch them grow up together and remain pals. Fishing has been some of their best memories and Brayden picked out this shirt for her that says: "some girls play with dolls.....REAL girls go fishing!"  SO cute!  She wears it all the time too so good work Brayden. :)

Later we dove into the triple chocolate, chocolate chip, fudge, mint chocolate, chocolate cake!  Did I mention she likes chocolate???  It reminds me of elf:

"We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup."

  Only hers would be chocolate, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, and candy!

 

But....only once a year right? And pregnant mama didn't mind eating for two on this particular day, can't lie. ;)
