summer lake trip 2011

So the lake trip came fast this summer and went by as fast as it came....we need to think about two trips per summer I think so we can fully enjoy everything without feeling rushed. Kids had a ball and we all left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready for reality. (sort of) Haylee was with Grandma and Grandpa still so we only had to travel with two kiddos which seemed like a huge difference when they all have to squish in the back seat. Grace does so great with Gavin and she is old enough now to change the movies, read him books, get his snacks....it's WONDERFUL! ;)
Grace still not feeling her best but up for the trip anyway.
Justin wanted to make our annual stop to Cabela's since that's not something we get around here it's his special treat. He wanted to find some shoes so we kept ourselves occupied in other ways. ;)
Yes that's right, the nylon footies.
Proud Mama. ;)
We celebrated Grace's birthday a 2nd time with the family Choc-o-holic style.
Worlds largest chocolate cake and she could not have been more thrilled to see that beauty all lit up just for her. :)

Sweet sisters
Three oldest cousins will also = trouble someday I'm sure????
Granny getting some Brooke time in.
Uncle Ben played lots of UNO with the kids.
Story time with Aunt Jen......
Little curly sue; AKA "peanut"

A little boy dreaming big.

We took a walk with the kids to the woods to check out the fort they built with Uncle Ben two summers ago and to find the honey suckles.

Still here.
honey suckles too.
However we lost our men somewhere on the trail and found these two creeps. ;)

Next up: 4th of July parade.....and it was HOT!!!
They all looked done in about 10 minutes.
Our sad Washington children that don't ever see this sort of heat anymore were wondering if death was soon to follow.

Everone crowding under the tiny patch of shade.

Doesn't seem to bother the little ones however.

Quick family and group shots before meltdowns come and back to the sweet relief of the lake!
We bbq'd, swam, danced, and played the rest of the day away until time for fireworks.

Aunt Vicki even surprised the kiddos with rides on the boat and they were beyond thrilled!

Sweet baby Brooklyn just hung out with everyone and was so good.

Fireworks at last!! Only a few minor burns all in all another great 4th to put on the record books!!!

One of the burn victims snuggling with Mama.

Haylee loves the babies.

We headed to Silverwood again this year for Grace's birthday she loves this place and when I asked her why she said "the lazy river of course" ahhh...of course??? But before she could be lazy we had to get some thrill seeking in.

Best ride I have ever done so far....this is so intense but so FUN!
Too bad I didn't video because yes Justin and Jen are screaming like school children.....ha ha ha ha it took alot of coaxing to get Jen on this one. ;)
And here is baby B still just happy and content as can be. :)
Big smiles for her Aunt Hannah
The rest of the week was just relaxing fun with ice cream trips, lots of swimming, school, walks, and more swimming.

Grandkids ice cream photo shoot 2011
Jackson and his Uncle Justin
T-R-O-U-B-L-E.....all I got!
The girls in their new Hawaiian sundresses from Grandma and Grandpa.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary that week too and had Grandpa and Grandma to thank for babysitting so we could actually celebrate.
More summer fun to come......just a little behind in the blog world!
