Trying to get caught up on all the time since my last post. I figured as long as I can get pictures uploaded they kind of speak for themselves and it's a good timeline to track the stuff we did. My goal is to get current so I can start tracking in real time again.
Family pictures done again by Brook, she does such a great job! Having someone that knows your family makes it so easy to get these done.
Justin and I went to Seattle for my nephew Mark's wedding. It was fun to see everyone and get a little weekend away. We had heard on our way to the west side that school would be back on Monday then was probably going to shut down. Well the kids never went back for their 2020 ending and the year was so crazy!! The fact that our kids have lived through a pandemic that completely shut down country is so wild!!
Mother's Day!!
Took our huge Spruce tree down, it was hard to see it go but way overgrown for our small yard.

Took the kids hiking quite a bit this year with the shut down and needing to get out of the house!
More hikes!
Teachers did a drive by parade to end the school year and say hello! They were so excited and it just made it feel so much more sad. They should be in school. :(
Girls decided since they weren't seeing anyone besides neighbors and didn't know when they would be back in school they decided to dye their hair with koolaid. Paige had pink hair forever we finally had to cut it out! 😂
Took the kids up to Round Lake for a hike, it was still early and chilly but so beautiful!
We headed to Boise for Grace's graduation party since Spokane is still closed. It was fun to have everyone show up for her and celebrate our sweet girl!! We rented a VRBO with Sam and Marek too so it was fun to have a space to be all be together!
She graduated with an AA and will head back to finish her bachelor's at Eastern in the fall. SO beyond proud to watch this girl thrive at life!! She is a go getter and Sam is a very sweet supportive boyfriend for her. She's also been working at Longhorn BBQ since she was 16 so she's a busy gal!
Roaring Springs with the cousins.
My sister hosted a kaerokee night in her backyard it was very fun and definitely entertaining! 😂
We got out of town for a bit and visited Wendy, we had so much fun!!
Lake Roosevelt with the neighbors!
More summer fun with friends!
Lots of swimming time at all the different spots. I love where we live when it comes to outdoor activities we are so lucky!
Hiking......
We did a family reunion with Justin's family (minus Paul and his crew) to Joseph, OR. It was so fun to camp and swim and just have a week to chill and relax. Our whole family came for the first part of the week which was fun and the weather was beautiful!!
Haylee had her surgery on her bunion and it went great!! She'll be in a boot for about 6 weeks but the timing was good she got through the summer and now can just chill and do school online while she heals.
My mom and her husband Mark came to visit on his new Harley trike that he bought for his retirement gift to himself. This is the first time they have been to visit in the summer time its usually Thanksgiving so it was fun to get out and do more stuff with them.
They stayed at the Mirabeau hotel by us so we could get some swim time in. You had to reserve your time so they didn't have too many people out there at a time it's just so silly! WE'RE OUTSIDE!!!😩
Trip to CDA to the Irish pub The Crown and Thistle that we love and they're all about!
Women's retreat was much needed this year after the shut down. Idaho opened earlier so Ross Point was taking campers and we jumped on the opportunity to get together and fellowship after a long year!
I went to Boise unexpectedly because my niece got super sick and passed away. She had been hospitalized and was waiting for a new trial in Salt Lake City but unfortunately she was too sick to hold on that long. It was so sad to be there but also so sweet to spend time with my siblings and cry and laugh together. Sadly with all the covid stuff happening they are waiting for a while to do any kind of service.
cute nieces!!
we went through my aunts wigs and had a good laugh!
Got to spend time with the whole family watching the Boise state game.
First day of 2nd grade in person!! Sad that it took 7 months to get here and even more sad that they have to wear masks but she is so ready to get back to her friends and somewhat normal kid life. I can't imagine the permanent effects this has caused for everyone!! Something these kids will remember forever!
Paige's 8th birthday was fun with all the neighborhood girls. Covid has made them a lot closer and we're so thankful we've been able to have other people to hang out with so close, especially the kids.
Pre Christmas fun!
This was the biggest news of the year......Grace moved out!!!! Soooo hard but we were so excited for them and they were ready to get out and on their own. They found a super cute apartment about 40 min from us so it felt like they had some space too which was good for them starting out. But still close enough that we can see them pretty regularly. The goodbye was definitely hard though.
Coeur'd Alene with the church family!
Christmas Eve carbonara!!
I LOVE this poem from Paige and will have it out every year!! Such a special feeling to know the memories we make and the feeling my kids have at holidays is positive and inviting!! Time slow down...... 🥺
Grace's last Christmas at home, she was sweet and came back to spend the night so it would feel like normal but a hard reality for us!! 😭
Haylee got a nose piercing from Gavin for Christmas, she was so excited to get it done it was a fun surprise! He also wrote a very sweet letter. 🥹
We did Christmas dinner with the Bendele's this year also remembered as "Whiskey Christmas" 🤣
