What I missed!

Here are the pictures taken in Idaho Falls for the family reunion, they turned our pretty well.  The family is big when everyone is there so kind of hard to get perfect shots but still  nice to have them.

The girls.
Grace holding Zoey, Addison, Miley holding Brooklyn, Haylee, and Peyton

Adding Gavin and Jackson is all the gand kids. Pretty cute bunch I've gotta say. ;)

The boys doing their best "cool" pose.

The whole Mike Ellersick family they turned out really great.

Our own little crew.

The Harold Hebdon clan again, this time not squinting in the sun starting with the first kids.

Then adding all the grand kids.........

Collin:

The other matter of business this summer that happened is my nephew had a horrible accident that almost took his life, we have seriously witnessed a miracle with this boy.

Here is before that accident, a sweet, wonderful, typical 10 year old boy.  He went hiking up around the Boise foothills with his friend and tried to maneuver around some pretty big rocks and lost his balance falling about 30 feet and landing directly on his head!  Luckily the friend he was with had a cell phone and called for help but where Collin landed made it difficult for paramedics to get to him too quickly so he had lost a lot of blood and was in and out of consciousness.  They rushed him into surgery finally back at the hospital and he was in for the better part of the day piecing his skull back together, they said it was crushed just like a watermelon in 3 spots.  Luckily the membrane surrounding the skull was not punctured (grasping for silver lining somewhere) and the only major worry at that point was waking up and swelling.

After surgery they kept him pretty sedated and overall body swelling occurred but the next morning no swelling of the brain was found, another miracle!  He was doing a little bit of hand squeezing and his pupils were reacting which were two more good signs.  He spiked a pretty high fever and his tube couldn't come out until the swelling went down so it was just a waiting game and for Gretchen (Mom) I'm sure that was the hardest part.

Swelling went down and he started to wake up  asking for water, nodding when asked questions, and wanting Gretchen to read to him.

He even was able to write this note. :)

By the next couple days he was out of bed, drinking, eating, and getting some of his stitches out!  Talk about a miracle!!!  It was so incredible to witness and be able to really feel the love and prayers that were going out for him.  Here is after bandages were removed.  He was home and on his way to recovery after a few short DAYS!

Now he is thriving and healthy with some good battle scars to remember this summer. We will forever be thankful to God that Collin was spared and in awe of his strength as well as my incredible sister Gretchen.  To God be the glory!
